CENTRIX EVOLUTION | FLAGSHIP SYSTEM FOR STATE-OF-THE-ART CABLE FAULT LOCATION, CABLE TESTING, AND CABLE DIAGNOSTICS | MEGGER

Centrix Evolution is Megger’s most advanced and powerful cable fault location system, designed for fast, accurate and cable-friendly identification of faults in low and medium voltage networks. It supports cable systems up to 36 kV and selected classes of high voltage cables, making it suitable for modern distribution grids, renewable installations and industrial networks. Its centrally controlled, fully automated design combines multiple fault location, testing and diagnostic technologies in one integrated platform.

About the product

Intelligent workflow and intuitive operation

The system features a smartphone-inspired graphical user interface with multi-touch operation and gesture control, supported by an automated workflow that guides users step-by-step through the entire fault location process. This significantly reduces complexity, enabling even less experienced operators to achieve fast and reliable results, while expert users retain full manual control through dedicated advanced modes.

Industry-leading fault location technologies

Centrix Evolution integrates Teleflex® RDR cable radar, offering superior performance in time domain reflectometry. Combined with ARM®, ARM Conditioning, ICE and Decay methods, the system enables precise prelocation of faults, even in long or heavily attenuated cables. The Best Picture Multishot function automatically selects the most accurate fault trace from 32 measurements to improve clarity and confidence.

Testing and diagnostics in one platform

Beyond fault location, the Centrix Evolution can be equipped with powerful VLF testing, Tan Delta measurement and partial discharge diagnostics, enabling standard-compliant condition assessment of medium voltage cables. It supports sinusoidal and cosine-rectangular waveforms, near-line frequency PD testing and DAC diagnostics, allowing both commissioning tests and condition-based maintenance without switching systems.

Built for safety, reliability and scalability

The system includes SafeDischarge technology with a 32 kJ discharge capacity, live safety monitoring and compliance with key international standards. It is available in single-phase or three-phase configurations and can be customised for vehicle layouts, ensuring flexibility for utilities, contractors and service providers managing complex and high-demand networks.
